Hoops for Hope tournament is being rescheduled due to many teams involved in playoffs.  Stay tuned for a new date later this year.

Hoops for Hope is a 3 on 3 basketball tournament being held at the Palmerton High School on March 2nd, 2019.  Teams can register online.

Proceeds for the tournament help Family Promise provide services to homeless families.  The popular tournament has raised approximately $8,000 in previous years.  The event organizers with tournament chairperson, Jean Papay have set the goal at $10,000 for the upcoming 2019 tournament.  Team registrations, admission, concession sales and a basket raffle all add to the proceeds donated to Family Promise.

After registering, teams can help raise awareness about homelessness by sharing their team pages on social media.  Friends and family can show their support in a variety of ways:

  • Donate to a team
  • Come to the tournament on March 2nd as a spectator. Teams arrive at 8am.  Play starts shortly after 8.am.
  • Donate a basket for the basket raffle.  Drop off at the day center by Thursday 2/28.
  • Donate baked goods for the concession stand.  Drop off at the Palmerton High School on the morning of the tournament.
