Giving homeless families help
Homelessness exists on the beautiful streets of our neighborhoods. Thanks to Family Promise of Carbon County, these families have hope.
Rather than spending their last dollar on a cheap hotel, homeless parents and their children can be sheltered in a participating church. Families can stay safely together in the shelter program and receive meals, counseling, love and support during a critical time in their life. Family Promise of Carbon County is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization that began serving the homeless and poverty stricken in 2011. Since then our volunteers have changed the lives of so many people in Carbon County.
As a direct result of the generous grant from the First Federal Charitable Foundation, Family Promise of Carbon County was able to replace their 1999 van with a 2016 Ford T350 Transit van. The van will be used to transport homeless families back and forth from the...read more
